A financial meeting within the RESCUE project was held on the 30th of December 2019.  The event was held at the Faculty of technical sciences building, with 19 people in attendance from the partner institutions. At the beginning of the meeting prof. dr Boris Dumnić greeted the attending guests on behalf of the Faculty of Technical Sciences team members and introduced the main meeting topics in the agenda. At the meeting, the main emphasis was placed on the public procurements that were performed within the 2nd period. A representative from each project partners stated the most important procurement procedures that were carried out or are in the process of being finished. During the discussion, the slow nature of the payment process (especially in Serbia due to the VAT exemption process) has been highlighted and some proposals have been made in order to improve on this issue.

Guests from the partner institutions attended the ceremonial meeting of Academic Council of the Department for Power, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. During this event, an award ceremony was held for the most prominent individuals of the Department. At the end of the ceremonial meeting, all attendees were invited to further discuss the project specific details over appropriate refreshments and cocktail. After the refreshments (lunch break) the analysis of the main achieved results and the short introduction to 2nd project period reporting was made. All partners were informed of the reporting obligations and reporting due dates. In the discussion that followed, it was concluded that (apart from the payment length process) there were no additional issues that would require special actions.
In the last segment of the meeting, the analysis of the tasks that are ahead of the project team members in the 3rd period was performed. Due to the severity of the procurements in the 3rd period, special attention has to be given to the preparation of the procurements. It was emphasized that using the knowledge acquired so far, the procurement (and payment) procedures will be better prepared and executed.
