On November 29, 2019, the Faculty of Technical Sciences has organized a lecture on renewable energy sources and electromobility, which are the most current topics globally. Prof. dr Boris Dumnić gave an introduction speech, after which he pointed out the necessity of using renewable energy sources, as well as the importance of the issue of electromobility in the world and in our country since almost 35% of the total energy is consumed in the transport sector, which is today predominantly based on the use of fossil fuels. In addition, Prof. dr Boris Dumnić introduced the participants to the Renewable Energy Sources for smart sustainable health Centers, University Education and other public buildings – RESCUE project which will promote energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and electromobility.
The event was attended by representatives of the ZF company, who introduced their company to the attendees, as well as the e-mobility division, which in Serbia will be the largest e-mobility division in Europe outside of Germany. Additionally, representatives of the company presented to the attendees a modern electric car, which was exhibited in front of the faculty, as well as powertrains of electric vehicles consisting of power electronics converters and electrical machines and other equipment.
