Partners meeting within the project “Renewable Energy Sources for smart sustainable health Centers, University Education and other public buildings - RESCUE”, was held on December 11th in Slavonski Brod. The meeting was attended by 24 participants. At the beginning of the meeting Prof. Dr. Ivan Samardžić, Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod (MEFSB) greeted the attending guests emphasizing the benefits of the RESCUE project for the Faculty, for all partners of RESCUE project and for the community. The meeting started in the hall of MEFSB. After the introductory words of Prof. Dr. Marinko Stojkov, the meeting was continued by Prof. Dr. Boris Dumnić, the RESCUE project coordinator. The professor first went through the analysis of the assignments for the second project period, discussing each assignment individually. The representatives of each institution presented their reports.
The introduction was followed by a discussion about battery storage technical aspects and their role in the project by Matej Žnidarec, mag. ing. and Prof. Dr. Damir Šljivac. Doc Dr. Zoltan Čorba presented planned PV systems (in RESCUE project) and technical specifications in Serbia (Novi Sad) and also Matej Žnidarec, mag. ing., Prof. Dr. Damir Šljivac and Prof. Dr. Marinko Stojkov presented technical aspects and public procurement of planned photovoltaic power plants in Croatia (in RESCUE project). Prof. Dr. Ante Čikić described Solar thermal system and heat pumps planned to build on MEFSB building and also Aleksandar Lolić, mag. ing. and Prof. Dr. Boris Dumnić described and discussed solar thermal systems and biodiesel production at partner’s public buildings in Novi Sad (planned in RESCUE project). Prof. Dr. Dragan Milićević and MSc Ivana Isakov discussed the BEMS system on public buildings and gave technical specifications. Doc. Dr. Bane Popadić described the RESCUE web page and communication plan.
In addition to the formal part of the meeting, lunch is organized in the famous restaurant Uno and evening activities in the pub next to MEFSB building improving team building and research cooperation.
