Improvement of energy efficiency at the part of the Mechanical Institute building (one of the FTN buildings) is currently in progress. We are working on the substitution of windows and doors with new PVC and aluminum materials that will have higher energy efficiency characteristics. Additionally, part of the interior will be adapted in order to foster the integration of renewable energy systems. The benefits will be less consumption of electrical and thermal energy and a decrease in carbon footprint which will result in higher sustainability of the building and will help implemented RES facilities within the RESCUE project achieve their full impact.
We believe that this represents the perfect example of how energy produced by renewable energy sources can be used most economically.
